Downloading of Infonet Offline Site
This article contains instructions on how to download and extract an offline version of Infonet website.
The offline version of Infonet website requires the following:
1. A modern web browser:

Mozilla Firefox version 34 and above

Internet Explorer version 9 and above (not recommended as some aspects do not work well with it)

Google Chrome version 39 and above

Opera version 26 and above

Safari version 7 and above

Microsoft Edge 87 and above
2. A computer that supports USB drives, has a minimum of 1GB RAM, runs Windows XP and above, and contains Pentium 4 processor or later. Other operating systems: OS X Yosemite & above (Apple) and Linux (Ubuntu 14.04+, Debian 7+, Fedora Linux 24+)
3. The offline is around 1.5 GB in size, make sure to have enough space on your computer.
4. The offline version can also be purchased on a USB stick at a cost of 800 ksh /8 US, call 0719 052 117 to order Infonet offline version.

Extraction
The downloaded file (infonet_offline.zip) is a compressed file (zip format) of Infonet offline website. To access Infonet offline website, the compressed file needs to be extracted using the following techniques for different operating systems:
a) Windows Operating System

Download the 7-zip application from this link.

Select either 32-bit or the 64-bit .exe file depending on the type of Windows Operating system you're using. Most modern PCs run on the 64-bit architecture.

Install the 7-zip application.

Right click on the compressed off-line site.

Select 7-Zip. This will provide more options.

Click on Extract Here option. The compressed file will be extracted in the current folder location.

The offline site can now be accessed by entering the infonet_offline folder generated from the extraction.

Open the extracted file and run the offline by clicking on start-here.html file (a detailled instruction is found in the file named 'Manual')

If your computer does not have a web browser, there is a portable browser application for Mozilla Firefox (version 50) in the offline.
Note: You can use the default Windows OS extraction tool to extract i.e. right click on the compressed file and select Extract All. However, using the 7-Zip application will provide better results in extraction and prevent extraction errors.
b) MacOS - Apple Operating System

Right click the compressed file.

Select Open With. This will provide more options.

Select Archive Utility. The compressed file will be extracted in the current folder location.

The off-line site can now be accessed by entering the infonet_offline folder generated from the extraction.

Open the extracted file and run the offline by clicking on start-here.html file
c) Linux Operating System (Ubuntu or Debian Linux OS Distributions)

Right click the compressed file.

Select Extract Here. The compressed file will be extracted in the current folder location.

The offline site can now be accessed by entering the infonet_offline folder generated from the extraction.

Open the extracted file and run the offline by clicking on start-here.html file
